Fashion Moment – Elle McPherson in all white

Elle McPherson dress in all white for a wedding in France, but not for her wedding!

Perfection anyone? I think she looks fantastic in this outfit! A lot of people could not pull this off! I love the fun laser cuts and the frilly skirt. I’m dying over the shoes also. I just don’t know if wearing all white to a wedding that isn’t yours is the best idea, but I guess she’s probably one of the only people who could get away with it.

Beauty Trends from NY Fashion Week – Spring 2013

Here are some great beauty trends from New York Spring 2013 Fashion Week! These looks rocked the runways during the last week showing all of springs upcoming fashion trends, but why wait until Spring to start using these great ideas! I’m already excited for a few of them now! Maybe I’ll mix them into my fall look and save them in the “vault” for spring!

Night Time Braids: You best new accessory! (My favorite trend!!)

Nude Nail Polish: A simple canvas.

Crimped Hair: Not sure about this middle picture, but the loose crimped look is a fun way to mix up a blowout once in a while!

Bright Eyes: Not just for the 80’s anymore.

Bold Brows: Forget the tweezers, thick brows are here to stay.

Cotton Candy Colored Hair: When it’s time to pull out your spring sundresses, it’s time to put some fun colors in your hair to match!

Tribal Print Top and Carriage shots

This weekend we went up to The Homestead in Midway to shoot some photos for Jake’s Carriage business and I got some of my own in while I was there! It was so pretty and the leaves were starting to change in the mountains. I love the falls colors!  It was such a fun day because our friend, Brit came up to take the photos and our friends Taylor and Devan came up to pose for us!

Top – BB Dakota; Jeans – Gap; Boots – Frye; Necklace – Madewell (old); Watch – Michael Kors (similar here); Earrings  – Forever 21; Bracelets – BP at Nordstorm (old)

So to answer some people’s questions about what in the world we were doing…Jake has had a Carriage business for a while, but he is trying to build it. He does weddings with the carriage (or other events) and funerals with his other equipment. We are doing a wedding expo soon, so our friend Britney was doing some promo photos and a video for us. It was so fun to shoot the horses and our friends! I helped Jake get it all together and I think they are going to turn out great. Jake’s company is “Double Tree Carriage” if you ever want to hire a Carriage for anything and Brittney does amazing photos and video if you ever need a photo or videographer for anything! I highly recommend her!  (You can find her on facebook right now…Brittney Johnson!)

Hairstyle Looks to Love: Emma Stone

Many of you might know my obsession with Emma Stone by now if you have followed me for long enough. It’s not really that I think she is the most gorgeous celebrity or the best dressed, but it’s more that I think she is the most well improved! She is so cute and actually a really funny actress. I am always up to see a movie with her in it. Plus as I have said before I think she looks amazing compared to when she first started out!

She is doing a campaign for Revlon right now and I don’t think they could have picked anyone better. She has a fresh face and is willing to try out any trend. Her hair looks great almost any color she has tried and she doesn’t overdo it on the makeup!

Here are some of my favorite beauty and hair trends from her this year!

Her simple go-to hair down, with a little curl in it!

Love the flat ironed looked with dramatic eyes.

A flirty look: natural makeup with an embellished accessory for fun!

Super Fresh: Bright lipstick and glossy side swept bangs!

Cover Girl Look: Face framing messing updo with blush tones!

Cool Chick: Sculpted Pompadour with a metallic cat eye.

O So Chic: Twisted Updo and feminine purple lids.

Glam: Dark red lips go with her loosing pinned strands for a vamped up look.

And I love this simple pony with bangs, from her movie ‘The Amazing Spiderman’

What I Wore: Riding Leggings and Boots

I saw these leggings at Forever 21 the other day, I was was debating on buying them because I keep seeing this style all over the place and I think it’s really cute, but I couldn’t tell if it would be hard to find things to wear with them. They were only $13 and were so comfy, so my mind was already made up. As soon as I got them home I decided you can basically wear them with everything! Blouses, tees, sweaters…plus the colors are super easy to match. So I have officially decided that my purchase was validated and I’m so happy! They’re also a thick legging so you don’t have to worry about them getting holes or being see-through!

Top – Splendid; Pants/Leggings – Forever 21; Boots – Frye (old); Earrings – Forever 21 (similar here); Bracelets – Anthropologie, Baublebar; Watch – Michael Kors (old -similar here); Ring – Michael Kors; Bag- LAMB (from this winter).
