Gingham and Polka Dot Blues

If you follow along, you know I’ve featured this skirt before (here) from J.Crew Factory. I bought another one that is similar in shape in bright pink too! I really like them because they are light and great for spring and summer at a great price too! I got both of them an extra 40% off during one of their sales. Yet another great perk of J.Crew Factory. All of their stuff is already a lower price than regular J.Crew products (and almost the same as their normal stuff…and still great quality!), plus they always have fabulous sales on top of their lowered prices.

So now to move on from my “rant” about J.Crew…I thought this was a fun springy outfit. I have noticed that I tend to wear a lot of blue so this was a good way to wear it, but mix prints. Plus I made sure my nails had some bright colors on them at least! I paired it with some “spring booties” and I love this fun statement necklace as well. Not too big, but it gets the job done!

(I also took these photos a little bit ago…it just snowed two days ago, but not this much! It’s May…it really just needs to be sunny)

Blue Blouse and Mustard Jeans

I love bright colored denim. I went a little crazy last year and bought tons of colors. I think these mustard colored ones were probably one of the best ones that I purchased. They’re from J.Crew and they have just the right amount of stretch to them.

Also, I am obsessed with these little elephant baubles I got too! I can’t get enough of them right now. I love elephants! They are so cute!

Thirdly I am so excited that I can start wearing my spring clothes. It’s finally warm! You can tell by the snow in the corners of these pictures that I went ahead and bought my spring clothes early. I always do that. I buy my spring clothes early and my fall clothes early and I get so excited to wear them. Now I finally can!

The Red Closet Diary and Bonjour Blues!

I am really excited today, because I teamed up with Jalynn over at The Red Closet Diary, who is on her honeymoon, for a guest post! I love this girl and her blog! She has the cutest style and finds the best deals! She is 6 feet tall and makes everything look amazing! Plus, even though she’s tall, she’s not afraid to wear heels still and I love that! I love the way she puts different prints together. Here are a couple of my favorite looks she has worn lately.DSCN3145_edited-1DSCN2513_edited-1DSCN2700_edited-1DSCN2752_edited-1DSCN2885_edited-1

Spring Transition Outfit

Just a quick little post of an outfit that I wore to my friend’s baby shower. It was a little bit rainy this day, but I just can’t wait for spring, so I put on a dress that I got an Anthropologie last year that I was in love with (see here!) and threw on a lightweight sweater over the top so I wouldn’t be too chilly. Had to add my glitter booties too! I almost didn’t get these shoes, but they have been basically my favorite pair of shoes this spring. They go with everything and I love them! Plus I got them on sale! Yay!

Dress (worn as a skirt) – Anthropologie (similar here); Sweater – Forever 21; Booties – BC Footwear; Necklace – Forever 21; Watch – Marc by Marc Jacobs; Bracelet – Baublebar; Earrings – Anthropologie; Rings – David Yurman, Hammered Bands (from Soel Boutique, similar here), my mom’s old ring.

Here’s a little close up of some of the jewelry.IMG_0402_2

J.Crew Cutout Sweatshirt and Striped Shorts

After a rainy and cold few days I’m so glad for sun…it’s windy, but it’s sunny. So I’ll take it. These shorts are from last year, but J.Crew has so many cute shorts right now. I just ordered some and I cannot wait for them to get here. So I broke out this pair from last year because they are one of my favs. They are lightweight and loose and match with everything.

As you can probably tell I have been going through a major J.Crew phase lately. This sweater is also from J.Crew and I can see a lot of wear coming out of it.

Anyway, I’m up for a busy weekend. I have a bachelorette party, a wedding, a baby shower, and then a bridal shower monday…plus I have to catch you all up on the past two weekends of baby and bridal events. I guess I’m at that age where all of my friends are heading off to bigger and better things. Maybe I should get on that 🙂 IMG_0443IMG_0446IMG_0447IMG_0442

Stripes and Polka Dots

This outfit, for me at least, is a great way to dress up, but still be really comfortable. Sometimes I like to get my blouses a size to big, so that they are a little bit loose. That way I can untuck them a little bit or wear them with leggings and they are long enough to cover my little bum. Here I just decided to tuck the front into some kackis from gap for a casual look that I can still wear to work, or wear out to dinner with some friends. You can wear it with pumps like I did or throw on some flats or even Toms to dress it down more. It’s totally up to you!

Soft Jacket and Jeans

It’s raining today 🙁 I was planning on doing a big swim post because it’s been so nice and warm again this week and I’ve been getting really excited about the sun! But…I figured I just couldn’t do a swim post on a day like today…maybe tomorrow it will be sunny…let’s just cross our fingers. I also really need to wash my car so let’s hope it doesn’t keep raining too, because I just see no point in washing the inside of my car if I am not going to wash the outside…you know what I mean?

I love this jacket by Go Make Noise. My friend and I were walking around Nordstrom one night and the girl working there brought it in for us to try on…usually I never even pay attention to the stuff they bring in because I’m so lazy and don’t try in half of the stuff I grab anyway, but I was like ok I’ll give it a try and I’m so glad I did. It’s really cute and so comfortable! We both ended up getting it. I think it’s great for spring and will match with some many of my things!

Polka Dot Wedding

My Uncle got married a few weeks ago, so my family came to town. (See previous post) The reception was at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and it was really pretty. I wrote about it a little in the post I mentioned before, so I’ll just keep it short! This is what I wore…polka dots! One of my go-tos this spring 🙂

Dress – J.Crew; Shoes – Steven by Steve Madden; Necklace – J.Crew; Bracelet – J.Crew (similar here); Watch – Michael Kors (similar here); Ring – David Yurman.

As one of my friends said who also purchased these shoes…”Carrie Bradshaw would be proud”. Love these bows.
