7 Fabulous Fall Hairstyles!

Stuck in a hair rut? Here are some great hair trends for the fall. From updos to accessories, you can be sure to find a way to try something different!

1. Sleek Ponys

Bar Refalei and Ciara show the difference in a high and low pony, but both a still simple and chic.

2. Tousled Texture

Kate Bosworth is one of my favorites with this look. It’s a totally unfussy, natural looking hairstyle. I also love Kristen Stewart’s look below.

3. Full Bangs

Taylor Swift and Jessica Biel both have full bangs for a modern touch, whether hair is worn up or down.

4. Braided Updos

I LOVE BRAIDS! They add an element of fun to any outfit. Chloe Moretz playfull braids give a youthful flair to her bun and Sienna Miller went for the classic milkmaid. You can always try some plaiting on the sides for a sleeker style.

5. Colorful Hair

Lauren Conrad tried out pink  for quick “notice-me” tips, while the queen of color, Katy Perry, rocks a short blue bob. The colors of this season are rich blues and purples 🙂

6. Low Buns

Take your topknot down a notch…Jessica Alba wears a sophisticated and polished version, while Zoe Saldana’s is a more undone way. Remember it doesn’t have to be perfect.

7. Accessorized Dos

I love a great accessory, for dressed up for your, or helping it out on a lazy day! Emma Stone adds some romance to her hair with this gorgeous gold, wreath like headband. Emily Blunt (below) creates a dramatic scene in her hair with her dark feathered piece.

Top Ten Spring Fashion Trends

Here is a little cheat sheet for this springs biggest trends according to People Style Watch Magazine!

1. Colorblocking

You can do this trend with your clothing or your accessories for a bold statement! The Marc by Marc Jacobs dress below is a fu way to color block, while Carey Mulligan, Emmy Rossum, Emma Stone, and Olivia Palermo all show different ways to pull off this trend.

2. Day Clutches

A fun alternative to your everyday handbag. (Plus if you’re anything like me and tote around a giant bag all the time, it will give your shoulder a break!) This spring larger versions of the night clutch are great to carry during the day and more functional.  The first photo shows the Hobo International ‘Katrina’ clutch which goes with anything! Olivia Palermo carries a Hermes day clutch, and while not the best picture of Naomi from 90210, it’s a great example of an oversized clutch. Love the bold color.

3. Ankle-strap Heels

You can opt for a skinny strap or wide, and both with look great for work, casual, or going out attire. Whitney Port shoes a slightly more causal look, while Charlize Theron wears them for a more dressed up look. (also check out the florals section for another sneak peak at some ankle-strap pumps)

4. Mint Green

This pastel color works on almost every skin tone so it is a great trend to pick up! Check out these Hudson Jeans or Cameron in her gorgeous mint mini-dress.

5. Leather

Leather often seems like a winter trend, but Blake Lively shows us a perfect spring jacket and Lauren Conrad proves you can rock it for a night out.

6. Blue & Green Jewelry

This “ocean-inspired” jewelry is gorgeous for the season. Banana republic and Dannijo shown below have amazing collections showing this trend. Eva Mendes wears a beautiful green statement necklace below as well.

7. Florals

You can wear this gorgeous trend on shoes, jewelry, clothing, you name it! It is getting more and more popular than ever!  Check is out on Miranda Kerr, Jessica Alba, and Elizabeth Olsen below.

8. Peplums

Peplums are bringing flirty back! This retro style can be found on dresses, shirts, and skirts! See it on Blake in her cute black and white dress or this printed dress from

9. Metallic Heels

You can up your glam factor with metallic heels. Choose from just a tip like Gwyneth Paltrow, to a gold and silver sandals, or a colored shoe like Mila Kunis. The options are endless!

10. Neon

Neon is seriously the best color for summer…it makes you look so tan! Victoria Secret’s site has tons of neon options from this green bathing suit (which fits amazing by the way) to workout tanks to sweats! You can rock the all over neon look like Jennifer Lopez or go for Fergie’s neon pops, with her nails, shoes, and clutch. The neon against black makes it stand out that much more!

How Old Are They?

What do Florence Welch, The Olsen Twins, Lady Gaga, Lauren Conrad and I have in common?

We’re all the same age!
Weird I know.
So I was reading in Glamour Magazine recently and came across a little thing about 25 year olds. And yes, for one more day that includes me. I thought it was interesting because some of them look so much older than they are (Florence and Lady Gaga) and some of them play high schoolers that are 10 years younger than they actually are.
So for your entertainment, here is a list of celebrities that are 25 as of 2011.
Florence Welch

Olsen Twins

Mischa Barton

Megan Fox

Lindsay Lohan

Leighton Meester

Lauren Conrad – she did turn 26 in Feb, but I figured it was close enough

Lady Gaga – her bday is the day after mine…so weird that I am older than Lady Gaga (by one day anyway)

Jessica Stroup

Heidi Montag

Amber Riley

Emmy Rossum

LC on CL

Had to post this because I love her hair! It’s lighter on the ends (“surfer style” as she called it) and I love the braid. She looks so cute! The was her on Chelsey Lately last night. I think I might have to do my hair this color next time I get it done. I wish I had seen this before I did mine!

I’m loving messy hair right now…mostly because it’s so much nicer to not have to fix your hair or worry about it being perfect. It’s always nice to get ready and have perfectly fixed hair, but it’s nice to know on the days that you don’t have time for it or feel like it, this look can fly. Plus, I think guys probably like to “see your hair down” if you know what I mean. They don’t want you to be perfect all the time anyway. The whole, I like you better in your sweats with no make-up on thing. And if they do demand perfection all the time, then I’m probably not gonna get along with “those” ones and I feel bad for the girls who end up with them. I feel like this look will probably be around for a while for that makes me happy.

I love the messy top knot. So simple 🙂

and the messy bun in general…

and then there is just bedhead…kind of just emits a certain sexiness
