I had to share some looks from Cannes this year, because there were some really beautiful outfits. Popular trends seemed to be bright prints or black and white. Kind of a big contrast to each other, but I loved them. Carey Mulligan’s looks were some of my favorites, along with Marion Cotillard’s and Nicole Kidman’s. She’s always a shocker for me because I either love her or hate her, but I loved these. Take a look and let me know what you guys think!
I really liked most of these dresses. They’re all pretty classy seeing as they’re going to the White House so I think that’s why I liked them so much. Nothing too crazy, but some really beautiful dresses.
There really wasn’t anything horrible, but these were just the ones that I didn’t love…
Sharon Stone: I kind of think she looks like Cruela DeVile…It looks too dark and scary the way it’s all put together and I don’t think her hair is helping that. It’s almost looks slicked back and gelled. She should have done it softer with this look.
Patricia Arquette: I’m just not sure what’s going on here…she just looks wild…it’s just a little crazy. Her hair’s not done. She doesn’t look like she tried to do her makeup. And the dress doesn’t fit her. It’s too small on top. I lied, this one it pretty horrible.
Kerry Washington: By far my favorite. She just never let’s me down. The fit is perfect and I love love the bottom, the way it folds over. She’s so classy.

The Oscars!!! The biggest awards ceremony of the year! This is what we wait for…and for fashion too! Don’t worry. I sat on my couch for probably like 6-7 hours watching the red carpet shows, the actual show, and after parties. I love all of it. Now I have to make sure I got away all of the movies that got so many awards.
But now onto the dresses! What you were really all waiting for right?
Halle Berry: This is amazing. I had too many favorites already, but I loved this! She had this made for her 007 tribute presentation and I think it totally fits! No one else had a dress even close to something like this. (Versace)
Catherine Zeta Jones: She looks beautiful, but I’m pretty sure she hasn’t aged in like ten years. I’m not sure if the dress is my favorite though. It kind of looks like cheap gold foil. She looks great in anything though.
Jane Fonda: Are you kidding me? How old are you and you look that good? This color and fit were so great. I guess those work outs really do work. Wow is all I have to say…and that’s in a good way.
Kelly Osbourne: I’m not a huge fan of this dress, but it wasn’t one of the worst. I didn’t like the the neck straps were supposed to be all over the place…and I just didn’t really like the beading or glitter or whatever that was. I thought the cut kind of made her arms look big too. She is in a lot better shape lately so I’d think she would want something that would make her look smaller.
Kerry Washington: These colors on her are gorgeous. She has some of the best fashion sense around right now. I loved this dress and the detail on top.(Miu Miu)
Kristen Stewart: This look kind of turned into a diaster. I should have put this on my worst dress, but I think the dress itself isn’t bad. It’s a gorgeous dress (if you watched and saw it on stage…the detailing is beautiful). It’s just too big on her and makes her look bigger, and her hair is messy. It’s the Oscars…at least try. I’m honestly surprised she was invited to present in the first place. (Reem Acra)
Helen Hunt: She is wearing H&M with $700,000 worth of diamonds…so…the only problem with that is her dress is wrinkly and didn’t fit right. I don’t know if she was trying to be affordable because obviously the diamonds weren’t. I’m not trying to knock her being different, etc…but you can tell that it wasn’t a nice dress. Either that or she should have gotten it fitted to her.
Little Q: She is the cutest little thing. I can’t get over her! I need to watch the movie that she is in, because she has the cutest little personality and seriously, being nominated at 9?! Anyway, I’m glad they didn’t over dress her and kept her age appropriate.
Reese Witherspoon: She had the best hair of the night! She just had a baby and she looks fantastic! The color was gorgeous on her. (Louis Vuitton)
Octavia Spencer: I love her. She is so cute and always looks great. I do think there was just a little bit too much fabric going on, but she definitely knows what is good on her body! She is very classy. (Tadashi Shoji)
Jennifer Hudson: I think she looks fantastic. This color is beautiful. Her hair is amazing. The only thing I don’t like is I think her shoes are clashing a little bit. (Roberto Cavalli) I also think she looked great in her performance dress.
Selma Hayek: At first I didn’t like this very much, but it grew on me. It’s very different than what she normally wears and I think I like it a lot now. I don’t like the little tiara in her hair though.
Sandra Bullock: I think she looks really good, but she didn’t take any risks with this. At first I didn’t like her hair, but then I figured if she had put if up it probably would have been more harsh and I would have liked it less. So I liked it, it just wasn’t a fav. (Elie Saab)
Anne Hathaway: I seriously hated this. Yes, it’s very simple, but then she has on this huge necklace that doesn’t match really at all. The back had this big tie that was messy and looked like she just tied it and jumped out of the car or something. She was up for a huge award and this dress was just boring. It was kind of an ugly color and did nothing for her skin. If you saw her from far away she would have looked naked. Plus her nipples were sticking out so bad! Eek! And…I think she could have used some product in her hair? (Prada) I liked her performance dress way more! (see below) She should have just worn that…even thought that’s not my favorite dress either.
Melissa McCarthy: I always feel bad putting her on the worst dressed, but she always kind of picks big drapey things. Yes she is bigger, but she can get something tailored to her that still looks good. This color isn’t great and the slit is black. It’s kinda weird. I wish she would try a little harder.
Nicole Kidman: I kept wanting to like this, but I just can’t. On the red carpet the top actually looked like leopard print, and I hate the circles at the bottom. I would have like this a lot if it was just all one color. Her body looks great at least. I feel like her hair just looks messy. (L’wren Scott)
Zoe Saldana: I saw this dress and loved the top…then I saw the bottom. I HATE the bottom. I don’t know if it’s the grey colors or just the fact the it’s short and then fades into the colors or what. I think it’s all of it. I just don’t like the bottom half at all and that was enough for it to be in my worsts. It’s not an oscar dress for me at all.
Kelly Rowland: This is a long fall from the Grammys. The shape is wrong. It looks like is off kilter or something and her hair just doesn’t look good up in that bun. I know she’s in great shape too, but her legs don’t look good in this dress. I just hate it.
Charlize Theron: She looks so sleek and clean here. I love the shape of this dress. I can’t believe how good she looks with short hair. Her face is just perfect. (Dior)
George Clooney and Stacy Keibler: He’s starting to look older :(, but I think it’s because of the beard. (Armani) She looks absolutely amazing. I love this dress on her. Fabulous pick. The detailing accentuates all of her best features. Plus Clooney is a pretty good accessory. (Naeem Khan)
Jennifer Garner: She has looked fabulous this whole awards season. I love this so much! From the color, to the jewelry, to the amazing bow/ruffles trailing down the back of the dress. Can’t get enough! (Gucci)
Jennifer Lawrence: She is another one that has been amazing this awards season. She is really good at being youthful, but not childish. I love the poof at the bottom! It’s like a Cinderella dress…and it was perfect because she won! I really liked the backwards necklace that she wore also. (Dior Haute Couture)
Amy Adams: This is just fabulous. Who wouldn’t want to look like a princess? The skirt is poofy and young and gorgeous. I love it! I would die to wear this. Plus I like that her hair contrasts that dress and is a little bit undone. It’s perfect together! (Oscar de la Renta)
Jessica Chastain: This was hands down my favorite of the night. She looks like an Oscar. Absolutely beautiful. True hollywood glamour. The beading was completely tailored to fit the curves of her body, which was amazing. Her lips were the perfect color and her hair was perfect. Fabulous! (Armani)
I think this was my favorite part of the whole awards ceremony. It’s Les Mis portion of the musical tribute. I literally have watched it like 7 times now. I’m so obsessed! Enjoy!
Also, this is Jennifer Lawrence’s interview after winning best actress. I think she is so cute and so funny.

Oh I LOVE the Grammy’s! I think it’s the most fun awards show, because I love seeing all of my favorite people perform! I thought this year had some really great performances. Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, JT and Jay-Z, Rihanna, Mumford and Sons, the tribute to Bob Marley with Sting, Elton John…so many good ones! I’m not even sure which was my favorite, because I thought they were all so good, with maybe the exception of LL Cool J at the end…wasn’t a huge fan of that, but I was surprised that he did pretty well as a host. I thought he would be kind of horrible…not too bad!
Anyway, onto my favorite part…the outfits! I also like the Grammy’s for this reason, because a lot of people have fun with their outfits instead of being sooo serious with them. I like that. However without Lady Gaga or Nicki Minaj I feel like they just weren’t quite as exciting this year as usual. There were a lot of good ones though…so here we go…
Allison Williams: I seriously love this girl. She always looks fantastic. I wish she had done something a little bit more exciting though. This dress is gorgeous, but the color is a little bit blah for this night. I would have liked to see her in something bright or even shorter.
Karlie Kloss: I think she looks adorable. I love the color and her hair! Ohmigosh I wish I had her legs and body!
Maria Menounos: I love her hair and makeup. I really like the shape of this dress, but for some reason I just can’t stop thinking about bananas…I wish it was more neon or just a different color.
Alexa Chung: I think she is so cute too! She interviewed the red carpet for Fuse and she is darling! I love this dress, but not totally for an awards show. I feel like she could wear this any day…I wish she did something a little more glam.
Beyonce: At first I saw the top and hated it, but when I found out it was pants I liked it a lot more. I give her props for not wearing a dress and going a different route than normal. Super simple and clean. Not sure if I would like it on someone else though. However, I don’t think it was dressy enough. It looks like something she could wear on any day.
Natasha Bedingfield: At first I was going to put this in my worst dressed because I didn’t like the shape of it…but then I started to like it more and more. I don’t love the silver belt. I do like the fabric though. I think it depends on how you see her standing, whether or not you like the dress.
Miranda Lambert: Her face is always perfect. This wasn’t my favorite dress. I don’t think it flatters her arms and the color is just ok. I do however love the dress she wore for her performance. I feel like that fits her personality so much better! Love the sparkle and pattern.
Kat Dennings: To be honest I don’t love this dress. I don’t think it’s the best color on her and I don’t love the length or the shoes she picked with it. I didn’t put it on my worst dressed though because for once her boobs are not totally hanging out and it looked a lot better on stage than on the red carpet.
Adele: As my friend said, I wish she hadn’t worn her grandma’s tablecloth…BUT it’s not black! So in a way I kind of like it. Redeeming qualities include…the shape of the dress. Her makeup and hair are perfect though. Put the whole thing together and made me like it more. #Valentino
Kelly Rowland: At first I LOVED this dress…the shape and the pattern on it, but then I realized that it wasn’t a pattern…it was cutouts and I didn’t like it as much. Up close, it was too much. She does look amazing though. The mermaid style bottom looked fantastic on her. I want her body.
Katy Perry: I actually really liked this dress and loved the color. This is my favorite color right now and it looked so good on her! I don’t think I would like it on anyone else though, and I’m not a huge fan of the jewels at the top. This is what I mean by doing something different though. Most people wouldn’t wear something like this, but it totally fits Katy. I liked it a lot. #Gucci
Kelly Osbourne: I hate her stupid purple hair. Now that that’s out of the way, I thought she looked pretty good. I liked the simple black dress and simple hairstyle. She’s not my favorite person in the world, but she looks so good compared to what she used to look and dress like.
Carly Rae Jepsen: I wish this dress had been green! Then I would have loved it. I felt like the black made it look a little bit goth with her makeup and dark hair. I think the dress is gorgeous though. I love the mermaid-ish look. I do wish it was like a tiny bit more hemmed though. It made her look short and like she was going to trip. I don’t love her hair. I wish she would have done it up. #RobertoCavalli
Nicole Richie: This was an after party dress, but I loved it so much that I had to post it on here with all the other ones. I LOVE the shape and fabric. She looks fabulous! I even like her hair slicked back like that. Almost a best dressed, but it kinda doesn’t count since it was after the show…
Estelle: Ok ok, the pattern is hideous, but I couldn’t put it on worst dressed, because look at the shape and the back! If this had been any other pattern or color I think I would have put it on my best dressed.
Jennifer Lopez: I want to throw up on this whole ensemble. I hate the stupid tight bun on her head. It didn’t work with the flowyness of the dress. Then…ummm the missing fabric? It’s not even a slit. It’s an entire chunk missing from the dress. I just didn’t think that it was flattering at all…and J.Lo can get away with a lot.
Kimbra: I’m not even going to talk about her hair. She must have gotten electrocuted before the show. Anyway, I do NOT like all of the weird guazy stips popping up everywhere all over the dress. I actually might have liked it if those had just not been on the dress. It looks like a Kleenez box attacked her.
Janelle Monet: I think she looks like a little boy. This is not a femine suit. Plus it looks like she’s trying to be a matador. I don’t like the hat. It makes her little hair thing look weird.
Alicia Keys: O Alicia, usually I love your outfits. I am not a fan of her slicked back hair with this dress. I thought it looked good with her performance dress, but not here. I don’t like the snake skin cut out top. It looks like it came from Halle Berry’s Catwoman outfit. Then the skirt made her hips look kind of big and popped back out funny at the bottom. It’s not the gradual “mermaid” look you want. It looked like it was squeezing her.
Ashanti: First of all, I didn’t even know she was still around. But this dress should make her go back into hiding. I HATE the flower detail on it. I can’t tell if it’s supposed to be see-through or not. The top just isn’t flattering. I don’t like how high the slit was or the cutout right in the middle. It was just a bad choice.
Solange Knowles: Her hair is not ok. I usually love the fro she rocks, but it looks like it’s kind of going limp here. The color of the dress looks good on her, but something about it just isn’t flattering her body. Maybe it’s the cap sleeves or something. I just didn’t like any of it.
Florence Welch: Ah my love! She’s just my favorite. Here is a green dress that completely works! I love this color with her hair. It’s fitted perfectly to her body. I don’t even mind the weird spikes that much because I just love this so much. #Givenchy
Skylar Grey: This looks fantastic on her! I love the bright red and the shape. It’s beautiful.
Faith Hill and Tim McGraw: These two always look so perfect. I can’t get over her dress. I love the detail on top and I think it’s the cutest shape. I swear both of them get better looking every year. #JMendel
Carrie Underwood: This surprised me a little bit because she rarely wears black, but I think she looks great. The dress is a little bit edgy so that’s different for her. Her hair and makeup are always perfect. #RobertoCavalli Then for her performance, I wasn’t sure about the dress, but they started doing all of the cool light effects on it and I loved it. She is soooo good!
Taylor Swift: I think she gets better and better every year too. This is gorgeous. I love that she is looking more and more grown up all the time with her style. It’s elegant and I like the silver detail at the top a lot. I think this color looks great on her because she’s so fair too. It doesn’t wash her out though, even though she’s not super tan. #JMendel
Umm, also how fun was her performance. She puts on such a good show. I think she’s getting better at performances too. For a while she was kind of trying a little bit hard and now I feel like she knows the right balance.
Rihanna: She won my best dressed last year too, but look at her! That color is phenomenal on her and I love how soft her whole look is. I love the flowing hair and dress. Hands down my favorite.

The Screen Actor’s Guild Awards were this Sunday and I don’t know that I was completely blown away with any dresses or completely devasted by any. There were a lot of really good dresses and a few “eh” ones, but not a ton that will stand out in my mind for years to come. I did like a lot more dresses than I hated again at least. Myabe I’m just becoming soft in my old age 😛 I’m just looking forward to the Grammy’s and the Oscars! Yay! I love awards season.
So here we go…Please let me know your opinions!
January Jones: At first I really liked this dress. Now I don’t think I love it. I think if the collar wasn’t so high it would be better. It’s not awful though. At least the fit is great. I do NOT like her hair though.
Morena Barracin: From different angles this dress looks totally different. I think it would be perfect if it didn’t have those two weird mesh slits that go so high up the thighs. The one in the middle is ok.
Julianna Margulies: I actually love this dress. The fit is great, especially since she is in her forties. I LOVE that she did something fun with her shoes and hair. She has looked really pretty lately I think.
Jenna Fischer: I don’t love the color of the sequins, but I think the fit of this dress is great. She looks really elegant. I wish she had done something a little bit more fun with her hair.
Michelle Dockery: I think this is a little bit too long and it’s a tiny bit boring, because I LOVED her dress at the Golden Globes, but it’s not horrible in any way. It looks like she was trying to be a tiny bit Shades of Grey or something. I don’t know.
Katrina Bowden: This dress is a little bit funky, but kind of angelic. I’m not sure how that goes together, but it works. She looks fabulous. And it’s a different enough color that I wouldn’t have put it in my bridal section from the Golden Globes 🙂
Tina Fey: She looks so good here. I absolutely love her hair and makeup. I think she looks better and better with age. Such a flattering dress and the belt totally works too. Love her.
Sofia Vergara: I actually don’t love this. I don’t like that it has one shoulder, but then the other side has the hanging arm…it is a different shape than normal I guess? She always looks beautiful though.
Helen Hunt: I think she kind of looks like a trophy too, but I’m ok with it. I think she’s another person who is starting to look better with age, because she definitely wasn’t for a while. She looks really happy and I think that’s the best part about this. But she’s rocking the dress and that’s great!
Naya Rivera: I have been going back and forth with this dress. On one hand I think it’s just fine, but then again it’s just fine. She’s so young, why isn’t she wearing something fun! A bright color, or something shorter, or something sparkly! Just something else. I don’t know. It’s not bad. Just nothing special. Her hair and face are perfect though.
Amanda Seyfried: This fits her so well. I love love the bottom. This was another one that I couldn’t decide if I should put on my best dressed. The only reason I didn’t was because I didn’t love the necklace.
Kerry Washington: She alawys picks such interesting dresses and I like this, but I just have been loving her choices for her press tour for her new movie so much, that I didn’t love this AS much. (I’ll post those soon!
Anne Hathaway: Honestly I really don’t like this. I like the top, but I hated the bottom. I didn’t like the tulle and I didn’t like how it didn’t go all the way around. It was really short in the front and then just open. Just not my fav.
Claire Danes: I think she kind of looks like a vampire here…compared to what she wore at the Golden Globes I don’t like this at all. I felt like there was just so much fabric and I thought it was kind of boring.
Lea Michele: Ok, I know that she doesn’t look bad, but I think it kind of looks big on her. There is a lot of fabric going on there. It’s just boring. I liked a lot of the dresses at this show again, so I had to pick something. Plus it looks way better on the model. (And why is the bottom of her hair such a different color?)
Julie Bowen: This is so different! She always looks so great! I absolutely love the sleeves and who wears a leather gown? It’s so modern, I love it! She looks beautiful.
Nina Dobrev: No one really talked about Nina, but I think this is the most beautiful color on her. Again very simple, but so pretty. It fit and flattered her so well. I just loved it.

So onto my reviews…not that it matters to anyone so much, but I enjoy doing it. I always love to hear other peopel’s opinions…so comment away!!!
Did anyone else notice that there was an awful lot of white at the Globes this year? And not just white, but like bridal white? I literally think people were wearing wedding dresses or something. Or at least some of these will definitely be inspiring some wedding dresses in the future. Some of these were great and some not so great…here’s to the “brides”…
Amanda Seyfriend: I like this a lot. It fits her really well. It wasn’t my favorite dress of the night, but she looked great. I also love how soft her hair looks. Wish I could have seen the detailing at the top a little bit more.
Amy Adams: I don’t particularly love this. This is definitely one of the more weddingish looks. I think I may have loved this more if it was another color. I don’t love the tulle at the bottom, but I kind of like the shape. I wish her hair on the one side was not so plastered to her head, but more loose and soft. The color is just too close to her skin tone for me.
Julianne Hough: This, I want to barf on. Her eyes are very dark and vampirey for this big poofy light dress. The dress looks like it came straight out of dancing with the stars and then they added a giant skirt. I would either like the top with a straight down skirt or the bottom…ok I don’t like the bottom at all. Again, maybe a different color or something. But you can’t do sparkle and poof and white…I don’t know. I hate this.
Hayden Panettiere: I do like this. She’s the perfect tan (not overly sprayed!) and the fit is soooo good on her. I like the mermaid shape and I can totally see people copying this for their wedding dress. I like that her jewelry and hair is very simple.
Megan Fox: I think this dress still falls into the bridal category, but she looks great. I do think it kind of looks like a lot of the other dresses she wears. The same shape, but hey if it works, it works! She looks beautiful!
Jennifer Lopez: Everyone loved this dress so much and I didn’t. Maybe I just don’t like it on her. I think the dress is pretty, I just don’t like everything together and I can’t figure out what it is.Maybe it’s just that it’s white. If it has been red or black I think maybe I would like it. Or maroon…yes burgandy, I would have loved.
I’m not sure what was going on this night, but apparently everyone felt like copying Angelina Jolie and thrusting out their leg for the world. Ok, it didn’t work for Angie the first time…
Eva Longoria: I don’t like this much at all. The slit is so high and then it has such a low neckline. You have to pick one or the other. I would probably put this on the worst dressed list, but her face looks pretty.
Halle Berry: I absolutely hate this. I love Halle, but I hate this. One of her boobs looks three sizes bigger than the other one. The pattern is awful. Why in the world someone would wear this is beyond me? As George said on Fashion Police, this looks like a dress that Beyonce would have worn in a music video 15 years ago, and that’s not a good thing. WORST DRESSED.
Heidi Klum: She never looks bad. Not my favorite dress that she has eve worn, but she looks pretty freaking good. Her hair looks perfect and she’s rocking the dress…I don’t even mind “the leg”.
Rosie Huntington Whiteley: I don’t have tons to say about this. It’s not my favorite. It’s not the worst. I think the shoes cut off her legs and thats hard to do seeing as she has the longest legs in the world. Just eh…
Ok…here are my “in the middles”. Not quite my favorites, but definitely not bad!
Anne Hathaway: I think this is really pretty on her, but it kinda matches her skin. It almost needed something else. It does look very classic and simple though, so I kind of like it for that reason.
Naomi Watts: She looks so glamourous. LOVE the hair. I like the train a lot. I just think the dress itself looks a little bit heavy or something. I like it from the back better than from the front.
Lea Michele: I actually love this. I love the dress and I love the hair. I just don’t love how tan she is. And she’s not doing the annoying pose! haha.
Allison Williams: I think this girl is so pretty and I can’t wait to see her get bigger and bigger. I like this look a lot. It’s simple and classic, but it doesn’t stand out too much to me.
Kristen Bell: Is she not so cute pregnant? I think this dress is way flattering. The neckline makes her look like she has a very short neck….BUT I think the embroidery and beading is beautiful! I love the flowiness and the color. Such a great pick.
Stacy Keibler: I think this dress is a little bit boring for her, but her figure looks awesome! I wish she had done something a little bit more with her hair. I don’t know what, but just something.
Lena Dunham: This isn’t my favorite dress, but I think it was a good dress for her. It’s a great color against her skin and I think the shape makes her look great. I also think her makeup is really pretty.
Olivia Munn: I think she is the cutest! I like the simple hair and simple shape, but she made it a little bit fun with the pattern on top. I also love her necklace!
Zoey Deschanel: True Zoey style! A big, bright, fun dress! I just love her! She looks great! The shape is cute and girly and I love the pearls. I can’t fault anything, I just had others I liked more. I just like that she does her own thing, but it’s not so crazy that it’s terrible.
Julianne Moore: I like that she went for classic and elegant. Simple and age appropriate.
Sofia Vergara: The mermaid returns! Sleek as ever! And I love it. This shape just works for her too. I love her hair straight. Sparkle Sparkle! Love it.
Connie Britton: I like this a lot too. I think the color is and shape are flattering and I absolutely love her hair.
Nicole Kidman: I really like this because it’s different from what she was wearing last year. I like that she had soft hair with a more severe dress. The dress was fun.
Kerry Washington: This dress I keep going back and forth on. I’ll look at it and like it, and then I’ll look at it and decide that I don’t. I like her hair. And I like that the dress is different, but I’m still up in the air! Who wants to help me decide!?!
Marion Cotillard: I like the dress. I think it cute and fits her personality, but I think there is something about her hair that is throwing me off. In some pictures shes looks sooo young. Like teenager young. I thought it was Hailey Steinfield or whatever. I guess it’s better to look you, but still…
Kate Hudson: I almost put her on my best dressed, but I had to narrow it down. She looks gorgeous. I love her hair, but she could have put it up so you could see the collar a little bit better. She looks classic, but kinda sexy at the same time.
Jessica Chastain: First off. I do not like her hair. I think the dress is a good color on her, but it’s not my favorite, but I love her so much…so she doesn’t have to be on the worst dressed 🙂
Taylor Swift: I love that she looks so grown up! This is completely different for her! The color is really pretty. Her hair looks a little bit wet or something, but I think that’s the only thing I don’t like.
Emily Deschanel: I absolutely love the shoulders on this dress. I would wear this right now. I love the shape and the length and I think she looks absolutely beautiful. This was almost on my best dressed too, but I had to narrow 🙁
Sienna Miller: I honestly have no idea what is happening here. This looks like something my mom would have put me in for Easter Sunday when I was like three, but a little bit shorter. I do not like this at all. And I don’t have anything to say about it. I also think it looks like she just pulled her hair into a bun and left the house.
Rachel Weisz: I actually kind of like this in pictures, but on tv it was not that great. It looked weird and didn’t move well. I also don’t think that she should have worn this to the Golden Globes. Also with how many people looked so good, I had to pick worst dressed for this. I do like her hair.
Julieanne Marguiles: A lot of people liked this a lot…I didn’t. I think it’s kind of cool in the back, but I think it looks really gothic, especially with her hair slicked back into that ponytail. I’m not a huge fan of the short skirt and then the see-through overlay. It has to be done a particular way. I’m just not a fan.
O, and don’t forget Halle and Julianne Hough…shudder shudder.
Michelle Dockery: I love love love the gold collar/top of this dress. I love the entire dress. The shape is gorgeous. This is my favorite white dress of the night. The neckline goes so well with the length of her hair.
Claire Danes: Seriously? She just had a baby. Amazing! Her hair looks so full and pretty. I love the color and the ruching on the front of the dress. It looks effortless.
Emily Blunt: She is one of my favorite people and she stays super under the radar. I love this dress. The detailing is gorgegous. I think the color is amazing on her and I love the pop of color with the earings. A simple bag and bun tied it all together!
Lucy Lui: I think this is so great. I don’t know what it is, but I want to wear it. Right now. I love it. I know it’s not the spring or anything, but I absolutely am in love with this! She just looks so cute! I love the shape and the print. What are your thoughts on this dress?
Nicole Richie: I don’t know why I like this so much, but I think she looks amazing. The color stands out on her and I love her interesting clutch. Her hair and makeup are gorgeous!
Jessica Alba: Does she ever look bad? She’s as pretty as a peach…no pun intend. Love this. From the hair to the mermaid bottom! Beautiful colors and a perfect fit!
Jennifer Garner: She looks stunning. That’s all. I love this color on her. I love the texture. I love her jewelry. I love her hair. I love her makeup. I love everything.

O Awards shows!!!! YAY!!! I love love love seeing all of the gown choices! It’s like Christmas…or something 🙂
This year I didn’t have too many that I hated so that’s always good, I guess, but less to make fun of 🙂 There was a lot of blue and yellow, which is fabulous because I HEART yellow so much right now!!! I like the Emmy’s because I think you can still be really fun with your dresses and be a little bit light-hearted with them. It’s still hot outside, but it is technically fall.
So anyway, here are some of the dresses that I thought stood out the most, some of the ones I did kind of hate, and my FAVS of course! Enjoy!!!
Heidi Klum in Alexandre Vauthier: Not my all time favorite because I felt like the dress was sooo open…I mean it IS technically fall Heidi! But the color was sooo pretty on her. I just wish she had done her hair up to dress it up a tiny bit more.
Mindy Kaling in St. John: I think the color is great on her, but not the fit. She should have done something to accentuate her shape a little bit. The belt tried, but overall the dress didn’t do a lot for her. On the other hand, watch The Mindy Project…HILARIOUS!
Kat Dennings in J.Mendel: I just don’t love this. It’s not worst dressed at all, but I just don’t think it’s great. It looks like everything is just being pulled down. I do think the color looks good though.
January Jones in Zac Posen: I wanted to love this so much because it is such an interesting, fun dress, but I HATED the way she slicked back her hair and didn’t do a red lip or a darker eye or something. It just looked plain. I think I would have been in love with the dress if the hemline had been long all the way around. I didn’t love the high-low hem.
Elisabeth Moss in Dolce & Gabbana: I just did not like this. I thought it made her look bigger than she was. It’s a spring, floral print dress, and I don’t like the hemline again. She should have gone a little bit more glam for the Emmy’s. Not my fav.
Nicole Kidman in Antonio Berardi: I just thought this was boring for her. Usually she has these fabulous dresses and this one did not do anything for her. If any of you watch Fashion Police, they showed this with the jacket that it was made with and it was stunning…but she kinda ruined it by taking the jacket off…Portia de Rossi in Valentino: Hands down worst. The color totally washes her out, the pants are too short, and Ellen is already wearing pants. O not to mention that I have no idea if her hair is supposed to be like wild and crazy or slicked back and it’s just not staying down. I hated it.
Leslie Mann in Naeem Khan: I wasn’t sure about this at first, but the more I look at it the more I love it. I love the detail at the top, and of course I’m obsessed with mustard right now. I think her turquoise jewelry is the perfect accent. Plus the dress has pockets! WHAT! Awesome!
Julieanne Moore in Christian Dior: A lot of people were divided on this dress. I loved it because I thought she was such a great person to wear it. She in great shape, but she’s getting older and probably doesn’t want to show all of her skin off. I just loved the shape of it. (and the color) Plus her makeup looked amaze.
Ginnifer Goodwin in Monique Lhuillier: As everyone’s been saying…”girl on fire”. Ohmigosh I can’t get over the details on this dress. So gorgeous. I’m so glad she went out on a limb and did something different. And I DO like the hemline because you can see her gorgeous shoes! Plus is doesn’t come up too high.
Julie Bowen in Monique Lhuillier: Another fabulous Monique Lhuiller. I think I’ve had three in my best dressed. I am dying over the bright neon and how great it fits her. Plus I think this is so different from what she usually wears. Between her and Ginnifer Goodwin, these two are my favs!

Peplums are all the rage right now, and I’m totally down for this trend! I love it so much! So flattering and so cute. Maybe not the best option for super curvy girls, but I think if you wear it right you can get away with it. I love it as a little black dress or color blocked! Prints are also fun as well. Take a look at all of the celebrities below to see how all of the different body types wear it!
My favorite celebrity peplum! Model Coco Rocha in Jason Wu
My first runner up: Charlize Theron in Lanvin (She always looks flawless)
My second runner up: Jennifer Aniston in Tom Ford
Blake Lively in Victoria Beckham
Nicole Kidman in L’Wren (I love her in red)
Lucy Hale in Peter Som
Lady Gaga in Antonio Berardi (She actually looks classy here! Bravo Gaga!)
Kim Kardashian in Vigo (This is what I mean about the curvy thing, because it can almost make you look a little bit wider, but I think it still looks ok on her…borderline? What do you think?)
Dianna Agron in Stella McCartney
Emma Stone in Martin Grant
Beyonce in Peter Som (loving mustard!)
Victoria Beckham in her own dress
Here are three of my favorite peplums in stores now!
